I am so excited to share this new book with you today by Monica Pedersen, HGTV host and interior decorator. Her new book, Make It Beautiful: Designs and Ideas for Entertaining at Home is an absolutely gorgeous book filled with unique party themes, creative ideas and stunning photography. Monica is such an inspiration to me and I was thrilled to get my hands on a copy of her lovely book. The style and layout of the book is is absolute perfection and if/when I commit to working on a book, this is the epitome of the style I envision.
My favorite theme in the book is shown above, a Black & White Baby Shower. The striking black and white color combination with a sprinkle of pink is just lovely. One of my favorite things about this book is Monica’s use of flowers throughout. Simple, full arrangements that pop in the gorgeous photos.

This is a nice book, my wife would love it!
in my circle of friends, we each host a fun and games night every month or so, taking turns at one another’s homes….there’s usually a theme and since our turn is next, we’ve chosen an 80’s theme! Since I actually lived through the 80’s as a teenager, this is going to be great fun to recreate things I actually wore back then!

I am hosting an “End of the Summer, Start of School” party for my son and the neighbor kids.
We are hosting a large going away party this Fall to say goodbye to all of our friends and loved ones before we move across the country. We want to make it extra special because we will miss everyone dearly!!!! It will be a lovely memory to take with us on our new journey.

I just held my sons 18 birthday. His favorite colour is purple, so I bought a purple tablecloth. I decorated the table with small bouquets of lavender in little silver vases and purple ribbons.
