WOW! I am totally overwhelmed by the incredible response we have had to the new FREE Printable Thanksgiving Collection! I just wanted to stop in and say THANK YOU for your support and all of the lovely comments! Your encouragement and positive feedback just makes me want to continue to make more and more creative designs (including more FREE ones!). In a social media world where we are exposed to so many great ideas and inspiration, there is a a phenomenon going on that many of my fellow bloggers are feeling. While we know our blogs are getting traffic and our blog posts are being read, many readers aren’t taking the time to comment on blog posts. With Facebook making it so easy to just give a quick “like”, we all (including myself) are getting lazy with really cheering on the bloggers we love who pour so much time and energy into their posts. I have too felt this with my own blog, as we work so hard to product new, unique content and don’t always get the feedback that we hope for. So, I want to encourage you to thank that blogger who came up with a fantastic idea that you spotted on Pinterest and then created for your own home and thank the designer that shared a free printable that you used for your child’s class party or teacher gift.

As far as yesterday went, I want to give a huge thank you for the response…you all showed me that you are all alive and well and still here reading and paying attention to The TomKat Studio!
So thank you so much for that!

xoxo, Kim

PS. Due to the overwhelming response, we may need a couple extra days to get the thousands of collections ordered emailed out. Did you miss our post yesterday? Don’t worry, the collection will continue to be available for free download through the season!

Kim-I can only imagine the long hours of planning and execution of all your beautiful work, and please know that those efforts DO NOT go unnoticed! I know how much I appreciate positive feedback on the work I do and I know you and your team do as well. Keep up the GREAT work and know that so many of us are very appreciate of the fabulous work you do!! Cheers my dear 🙂

Tina, Tina, Tina – It crossed my mind to mention you in this post and I wish I would have. 😉 YOU are the most supportive reader ever. You already know how much I appreciate you but I think I should officially crown you TomKat’s #1 Fan! 🙂 Love ya, girl. xoxo

  2. I know exactly what you’re feeling. I’m still a fairly new blog and have no where near your fan base, but it can be so discouraging at times. It seems these days, everyone is creative. Or…if I come up with an idea…it’s already been done and pinned 1000 times over. The dreaded “like” button on facebook and all the new rules that facebook has for fan pages…makes it so much harder to get the feedback you really desire. That feedback is a big motivator on a day where you are questioning yourself. I question more and more…is anyone listening..reading? Are my ideas any good? Does anybody like me? LOL 🙂 The truth is…I love doing what I do…so I”ll keep on doing it. I’ve worked long and hard just to get where I’m at right now. Just setting up a photo shoot…can take hours. Forget about editing them…oh geez!! I’m so incredibly appreciative and humbled by the support of my readers and fans. I hope they will continue reading and “liking”…but sometimes commenting on what I do. It truly does make my day…to know someone out there likes my idea. You continue to be a big source of inspiration for me! All the best!!

  3. So true and encouraging! Thanks for all your hard work!!!

  4. Emily says:

Many thanks to YOU for providing all of us with the gorgeous free printables. I am hosting thanksgiving at my home for the very first time this year, and I am excited to make it extra special with your place cards, signs, and invitations. Thanks for all that you do for your fans!

  5. Yay!! I’m so glad you mentioned this Kim. It’s definitely something we are all experiencing. To top it off, Facebook has made it incredibly difficult to keep updated on our favorite blogs/sites. I NEVER see any posts from you that show up in my traffic feed. It’s quite frustrating.

Thanks again for your fabulous Thanksgiving printables. You did a beautiful job.
I can’t wait to print them and call Thanksgiving decorating done. Ha!

    Hugs!!

  19. Trish says:

Thank you for the printable! It was such a nice gift. I shared it on facebook. I love your whole blog too, it’s so inspiring!

  20. Mel says:

Nicely said. I have been sporadically blogging for around a year and don’t remember ever having a comment, though I can see people are reading (probably my own fault for being so sporadic — something I am working on changing). But I am constantly surprised that some of the ‘bigger’ more established blogs, like yours, with such lovely design elements and beautiful posts, don’t get a lot of comments.

So, I’m breaking my non-commenting streak and saying hi. I love your blog, I love your products and I can’t wait to have Thanksgiving and using your lovely printables. I’m in Australia but have lived in the US, so while it’s not a holiday here, I always celebrate it.

  21. Blissmamaof3 says:

You are amazing! Thank you for this very generous gift. I am thankful for you and all your wonderful work. You are my first stop online when putting a event together. Each time I have used your products, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Thank you for all you do!

  22. The “free” download is not working…please advise. Thanks and LOVE the collection BTW!

  23. Keri Hatos says:

Thank you so much for the free download! I’m looking forward to decorating my house for Thanksgiving this year! You guys are amazing!

  24. Kim – you are an inspiration! I’ve put together several dessert tables over the last couple years, but I usually design my own printables. I must admit, I am one of those “lurkers” who rarely comments, so… just wanted to comment on your blog to let you know how GORGEOUS this Thanksgiving design is. I can’t wait to use it for my own holiday table. Thanks again! xo

  25. Kimber Hagans says:

    Kim & Co,

I am guilty of not taking the time to comment! I have witnessed the TomKat Studio “blossom” into the booming business it now is~~and you my friend, have remained humble & kind. My last order was a needed rush order, and once again Toni came to the rescue! No wonder your business is so successful! Thank you for sharing all your creative endeavors, as well as continuing to compliment & encourage others. After all~~ truly it is~~~ “all about the details”.

    Kimber♥

  26. Colleen says:

  29. Christie Cambio says:

Kim! Oh my goodness, I love the printable Thanksgiving collection. So very kind of you to offer it as a free download. AND I just hopped over to your Facebook page to see if there was anything cute I’ve missed these past few weeks and I almost fell off my chair when I saw that you had 90,946 “likes”! Oh. My. Word. That is truly amazing! I was at a party a few weeks ago and I was talking to another mom (who I barely know) about you and The TomKat Studio. So don’t forget, your fans are talking about you in person, as well as commenting on what’s going on online. You are becoming a household name amongst mamas all over the country (and world too)! That’s gotta feel great. I have been in love with your designs since the first time I stumbled upon your blog over three years ago and spotted the lollipop shaped invitations. I will always be your fan 😉 Keep up that creativity and thank you for sharing your talents with us. I hope I get to run into you in person one of these days! You are a gift to us all! xxoo

This might sound really basic, but how do you recommend printing the Give Thanks collection?

  31. When I initially left a comment I seem to have clicked
on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from
now on every time a comment is added I get four emails with the
exact same comment. Perhaps there is an easy method you are
able to remove me from that service? Many thanks!

  34. Greetings from Florida! I’m bored at work so I decided to check out your site on my iphone during lunch break. I love the info you provide here and can’t wait to take a look when I get home.
I’m surprised at how fast your blog loaded on my cell phone .. I’m not even using WIFI, just 3G
    .. Anyhow, great blog!
