I am delighted, overjoyed and completely thrilled to announce that Maddy Hague (of Somewhere Splendid and the new party crafts site Confetti Pop) has join our team as the Managing Editor of The TomKat Studio blog!
I have been following Maddy's work for a few years now. I first found her after reading the gorgeous wedding publication, Nonpareil Magazine. I reached out to her way back when to get her thoughts on online magazines, as I was considering starting one for children's parties. She was so sweet and open to sharing her experience and thoughts.
Fast forward a few years, and I've featured Maddy's work several times here on the blog and we've continued to stay in touch. When I posted the opportunity for an editorial assistant, Maddy reached out. At first, I was hoping for a more administrative role rather than management and content creation position. After chatting with Maddy over the last couple of weeks, I decided that her incredible range of skills would be a PERFECT addition to our team. From graphic design, party styling, blogging and editorial experience, Maddy is full of ideas and talent. This comes at a perfect time for me because my travel and freelance project schedule is taking off. I am having a hard time keeping up with the many tasks on my to do list. In the past few days alone, I have been blown away by Maddy's creative ideas to help grow and manage this blog. I feel like finally all of the ideas I have had for The TomKat Studio blog that I could not find time for can now be implemented and shared with you all! I am SO excited and I hope you are too!
