TRULY, MADLY, DEEPLY…

Share To:

Happy Saturday! The other day, I posted this gorgeous “Truly, Madly, Deeply” canvas from Pottery Barn on Instagram. I love it and it would be darling hanging in my master bedroom, don’t you think? Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, which is always a fun day but this year it is a super big deal for me (and my husband). We met 20 years ago on Valentine’s Day (boy, that sure ages me). We were both 18, freshmen at Arizona State and we met at a fraternity/sorority social. I was wearing a red fuzzy v-neck cropped sweater with my recycled levi’s with all theholes and he was in his baggy jeans and an embroidered ΣΑΕ polo (my preppy frat boy). It was love at first dance. I would love to tell you that our first dance was to something romantic like “Truly, Madly, Deeply” or “I Swear”, but rather it was a NIN song with the *f* bomb in the title. Ha! I’m sure something a little sweeter came on after that, I mean it was Valentine’s Day you know. I picked him up a few days later for our first date (at Chili’s, ha!) in my red Dodge Shadow convertible (I loved that car and worked really hard to save up for it) and we never looked back.

They say that you can tell a lot about a marriage by asking the people to talk about how they met. I can tell you after writing that paragraph above, I’m smiling and giggling like 18 year old freshman in college. If that’s not a good sign, I don’t know what is.

20 years together, 14 years of marriage, 14 houses, 2 kids, 3 dogs later…here we are. My husband is my biggest fan and supports me and my decisions every step of the way. He puts up with my control issues and deals with my grumpy mornings (once I have coffee, I’m much happier). I try my best to keep our household running smoothly so we can all be happy and relax at the end of the day. It’s a great partnership and I love him…

Truly, Madly, Deeply.

After I posted the PB canvas on Instagram, one of my lovely followers sent me the link to this gorgeous FREE printable by Chelsea Creations Design!

Love it!! (and that gold frame!)

I also found this darling hand written “Truly Madly Deeply” card on Etsy. Love it.

Truly. Madly. Deeply.

xoxo, Kim
