Pool Bathroom Reveal | Equestrian Remodel

Share To:

Hey guys! Long time, no blog. 🙂 I’ve been a busy girl over there, working on the new house and lots of other projects that I can’t wait to share! In the meantime, I was cruising around Pinterest and realized that I had uploaded the above photo of our pool bathroom (it had a ton of re-pins), but I had not shared the details about it here on the blog! It was featured in our holiday home tour post for HGTV, but I thought I would share more photos of the space, along with all of the details and shopping guide!

Here it is dressed up for the holidays…

So cute, right?!

This bathroom is off of the den/bedroom that we used as a kid’s area for video games and hanging out. Both the room and the bathroom open up out to the backyard, which is great when hosting parties and guests are coming in and out from the pool!

When I first saw this bathroom, I knew that the vanity area would be perfect for a freestanding vanity. I searched options online and found this fabulous light gray, marble-topped single-sink vanity. It fit perfectly in the space. We removed the arch to open up the area and added subway tile with gray grout all the way to the ceiling on all three walls.

I ordered the two-tone wall metal and glass sconces, but ended up spray painting the bronze parts (base, arm and ring) matte black because the “rustic bronze” wasn’t dark enough for me in person. “Bronze” is funny that way. Some items appear black but they call them “bronze” and some items are more brown, yet are called “bronze”… like I love Pottery Barn’s “antique bronze” because it appears black. I just ordered a free-standing tub faucet for our new house that was called “oil-rubbed bronze” online, but the photo looked black online and in person it’s definitely legit black. (hooray!) I predict you will start seeing more and more (affordable) matte black fixtures showing up in mainstream stores soon. I’m already finding more and more online, which makes this black-and-white loving girl very happy.

We found the simple, modern black-framed mirror, potted plant and soaps at HomeGoods, and the black and white rug at Hobby Lobby.

The tile floor was a simple medium gray 12″ x 24″ that I found at Lowe’s. The paint color is our go-to gray, Cloud by Dunn Edwards.

I love how this bathroom has a pocket door between the vanity area and shower/toilet area. It just gives it a bit more character than the standard bathroom layout.

Nice and fresh update, right?!

Hi! I love how everything turned out! Is the info for the kids/teen area in a different post by chance? I didn’t see the items for that room listed in the “shop this post”- I’m interested in the white media cabinet, coffee table and wall clock.

      Hi Cindy!
The white media cabinets are from Ikea. If I remember correctly, the coffee table is from Joss & Main. The clock was from HomeGoods! Hope this helps!

Hi! I love this bathroom. What color grout did you use with the gray tile floor and with the white subway tile?
    Thank you!
