    Did anyone have trouble making these cookies? I made the recipe exactly per the tag instructions and the consistency was like sand. I had to add another egg plus more butter to even get the batter to stick together, which made the flavors of the cookies NOT very good, but at least the kids and I were able to bake them. I wonder if the directions were incorrect? A super cute idea but the recipe was not great….. :(

      Happy New Year!! We made them and we used a stick of butter that I let soften over night…took a little bit of stirring but they turned out not as bad as you mentioned. I might try to beat the butter in my kitchen aid mixer next time and see if that helps with the consistency of the cookies. Santa definitely needed the glass of milk we left him for these cookies!!
