My friend, Tori from Thoughtfully Simple and the Daily Grommet recently sent me the link to this fabulous kitchen gadget! The Babycakes Mini Cupcake Baker sure looks like fun to me! I haven’t tried it myself yet, but Tori swears by it and if she likes it, I’m sure we will too.
From Daily Grommet: The Babycakes cupcake maker can bake eight mini cupcakes in eight minutes or less. It’s powered by 1400 watts that heat the nonstick baking plates, similar to a waffle maker. The Babycakes appliance is great for baking mini muffins, scones, quiches, brownies, and other snack-sized goodies. It comes with a recipe book, decorating tips, piping bag, pastry cutting and crust forming tools, and it’s available in two frosting-inspired hues (pink or yellow).

Yum…I LOVE vanilla cupcakes with lemon buttercream. Obsessed!
When I think of favorite cupcake what comes to mind for me is a lemon poppy seed cupcake with a lemon icing on top when there warm just from the oven and have the icing on them. I like them that way because the icing is running all over the cupcake and isn’t hard yet so you get the icing flavor in every bit of cupcake.
My favorite cupcake would have to be white cupcake with Raspberry filling, and buttercream frosting on top. Mmmmmmm.
My fav would be the standard yellow w/cream cheese frosting. Can’t go wrong!

Call me a purist, but to me there’s no better cupcake than yellow cake with LOTS of buttercream icing! Cutely piped, of course!
