Decorate Workshop by Holly Becker :: Book Giveaway!

We are so excited to be part of the blog tour for Holly Becker’s second book, Decorate Workshop! Holly is the editor of the very popular home design blog, Decor8 and author of Decorate, her first book. I had the pleasure of meeting Holly last year at The Creative Connection Event, which was such an amazing experience for me because I have been following her blog forever! (well, not forever, but since 2008 right before I started my own blog!) Not only does her blog provide beautiful design inspiration, but it also gives amazing insight into the world of blogging. The best blogging advice that I have ever read is from Holly. If you don’t follow her already, you should. Now, back to the book. I absolutely love the format of this “workbook” which provides a step-by-step look at planning and executing decorating projects. From finding inspiration to infusing your style into the space, Holly lays out very specific ideas and techniques for every step of the way.

From the publisher, Chronicle Books:
Step inside the world of beloved blogger and stylist Holly Becker with Decorate Workshop. In this brand new interactive guide, Becker shares her personal design philosophy and reveals her creative 8-step process, explaining how to carry a vision into a finished room, from the early paint swatches to the final accents. It is filled with expert tips, important checklists, blank space for making lists and plans, and 250 photographs of gorgeous interiors. This is an essential planner for anyone who is ready to start decorating!

Lucky for you, we are giving away a copy of Holly’s new book!

Just leave a comment below, letting us know what space in your home you would love to redecorate!

Good luck!
xoxo, Kim

We have a new home (for us) full of many make overs! As it is my favorite room, the kitchen is at the front of my list.

Our master bedroom. We’ve lived here almost 5 years and there’s nothing on the walls. I do have a frame with lots of pictures ready to hang, laying on my dresser… At least there’s that!

I would love more then anything to decorate our bedroom. We have been married for 7 years and always put every room ahead of our own and it’s obvious. We don’t even have a headboard for our bed. We are currently stationed in Germany and I don’t particularly care for the furniture over here. At least not the kind we can afford. :)
I am alway looking for creative ways to spruce things up. I think this book would be an awesome resource. :)

I’d decorate my master bedroom. Somehow because it isn’t seen by anyone it gets done last. And I’ve been wanting to change it for awhile now but it always ends up at the bottom of my list.

Oh my…the whole house LOL We are in desperate need of a new bathroom but the room I would LIKE to redecorate the most would be our living room/dining room. I am ready for a new color scheme…which would mean painting the walls and our dining room set.
Thanks for a chance at Holly’s new book :)

I have a guest room that is freshly painted and that’s it. I would love to get some inspiration for what to do next.

I would love to redecorate my family room. We just moved into this amazing house and I really want to provide a space so my husband, daughter and I can spend quality time together making memories around the beautiful fireplace!

My bedroom! There are seriously three green walls and one blue one, not because we are trying to make a statement, it’s because we can’t decide what color to paint it. We are so lost when it comes to decorating. I really want my bedroom to be a peaceful happy place. Instead it’s ugly and annoying!

I just got married this year and have been trying to “debachelorize” my husband’s home that has now become our home. You see the great room/family room when you first walk in so that is my top priority right now! The home was very black, white and red when I moved in so slowly but surely we are turning it into more of a comfy Pottery Barn home!

I would like to really re-do the whole house, but if I had to choose it would be the kitchen… its just begging for help!
