Decorating My Home Office :: Update

Did you know that my home office was the backdrop for the Sunshine Baby Shower that I styled for Pottery Barn Kids? It was so amazing to transform it to a picture perfect setting since it is typically quite a mess! Lucky me, I get to sit in this light and bright room all day while I work. The room was meant to be the dining room, but I quickly decided it was perfect for my home office. It is open to the family room and connects right to the kitchen so I feel in the mix of everything when my hubby and kids are home. I much prefer it that way rather than being holed up in a room somewhere with the door shut. I’m almost finished decorating and organizing it (still need to find a rug), so I’ll be taking some photos soon to share!

The room photo above was the very first shot we worked on for the shoot and I love how it shows more of my room. Prior to the shoot, I had these gorgeous silk drapes and crystal chandeliers installed. I had been eyeing the chandeliers since we bought the new house in August, so the timing worked out perfectly. The white table and chairs were an old Craig’s List buy that were supposed to be temporary when we were between houses a few years ago, but the white table ended up being the perfect desk for me and coordinates perfectly with my beloved white armoire.

Can’t wait to share more photos!

I LOVE all the natural light you get in there! I have to think that having it in a space that’s open to the rest of the house makes working long hours MUCH easier!

Those chandeliers are fabulous; we actually specified them in one of our designs and they were a hit with the client. I notice they are a hit with the other commenters here too ;) Your office looks great and I love the photography! Great job.
