Forever Summer…

It’s officially summer break for us here! The kids enjoyed “water day” yesterday for their last day of school and now they are home for 7 weeks! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have heard that our house is in escrow and we just closed on the lot that we will be building on! Exciting stuff, right?! So in the next couple weeks, I have to get a long list freelance projects shored up, host Tommy’s 9th birthday party, pack up and move (oh wait, we still have to find a house to rent while we build….eeek!) …just slightly stressful. I am confident it will all get done and in the end all the stress will be worth it when we move into our new dream home!

I am so excited to be attending the Shutterfly Summer House event again in a few weeks in NYC! This year, Jen and I will be designing a full room and we are so thrilled! The list of designers for the event is crazy-amazing. I’m also keeping an eye out for the Shutterfly videos we shot up at our Flagstaff vacation home a couple weeks ago and I’ll share once they are published.

We have our annual summer vacation with the family up in Flagstaff coming up and then I really hope to take it easy for a few weeks in July before the kids go back to school! I’ve been working like crazy this year and I definitely feel that I’m overdue for a nice break!

What are you all up to this summer? Any fabulous vacation spots I need to know about?

WOW….you continue to be the busiest person I know…..but also the happiest and most talented!! Our summer: a week at the beach, the kids and their grandparents are going to their lake house for two weeks (including the 4th of July week), I am taking the kids for a week to Pinecrest Lake along with my brother and his boys and my parents, swimming and enjoying life :) And of course, continuing to keep my Etsy shop humming along :) xoxoxox……can’t wait to see the new house plans. I have no doubt it will be SPECTACULAR!

I just can’t seem to slow down, right? I’m ready to take a nice little break though, that is for sure! Can’t wait to spend some serious time swimming and playing with the kiddies! Sounds like you have a fun-filled summer! Enjoy it!

You are MORE than deserving of a break! I am sure it is hard to though when you have SO many fabulous opportunities constantly coming your way, but sometimes the best thing we can do is say no (politely of course!). We love our pool and I love hanging out with the kiddos out there. Hugs to you and yours!

Sounds like being busy has been wonderful for you! But yes, you are in need of a break. Have a wonderful family vacay. We’ll be spending our’s by the pool most of the hot season and possibly a quick trip to Sedona (I hope) between summer sessions at ASU. School…I look forward to next summer when I’ll be done. :)
