Local Love in Bloom Event…

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to attend a fabulous event, Local Love in Bloom at Found, the beautiful shop that we share space with. Kristin Alber, owner of Found and founder of Restyle Source is all about promoting local businesses. With Local Love Week in full effect last week, she put together this gorgeous event for a small group of lovely ladies.

It was so much fun catching up with Kristin at the event! With both of our shops in the same space, you would think we get to see each other all of the time, but we both have such busy project and travel schedules that we are usually running in and out the door waving at each other! She is absolute doll and I can’t thank her enough for giving me the opportunity to open my retail shop!

I was asked to come up with a delicious cocktail recipe to serve at the event and I set it up on this gorgeous bar cart from Found.

I kept it simple and mixed my favorite raspberry lemonade with delicious pink moscato champagne and topped with fresh raspberries and mint leaves. Yum!

Laurel from My Sweet Laurel helped plan the event and created gorgeous paper flowers for the table, the photo booth backdrop and these darling name tags! Under the tag? A gorgeous BONJOUR clutch courtesy of the T. Madison Shop, which is now open at Found.

Malori from Hoot & Holler gave us some tips for floral arranging and we all were able to make our own arrangement to take home! See my arrangement here.

My girl, Becki Crosby from Whippy Cake was in attendance and did a beautiful job on her arrangement. Don’t you love her polka dot sweater?

It was such a pleasure to spend time with these lovely fashion/style bloggers, Alex Evjen from Ave Styles and Reachel Bagley from Cardigan Empire. So much talent, all in one room!

I adore Summer from The Girls with Glasses and it was fun to chat with her and catch up on her latest projects.

Here’s Alex arranging her flowers and Laurel cutting one of the gorgeous naked cakes made by Joanna Meyer from Baked by Joanna.

Speaking of Joanna, here she is working on her arrangement.

These layered naked cakes that Joanna made for the event were not only gorgeous, but so delicious! The chocolate mocha was by far my fave. She gave us some tips for baking cakes and embellishing them with fresh flowers. So easy, and so beautiful!
