Halloween Cupcake Party for Kids…

I am so excited to share our latest Halloween project with you today! I have been dreaming of doing this party theme for months! I wanted to create a kid-friendly, super easy Halloween party that anyone can put together. Perfect for an afternoon playdate, Halloween party, birthday party or even mom’s night out, this Halloween Cupcake Decorating Party is simple and so much fun. Our “model” kids had blast participating in this shoot. The party was setup at our new house in my soon-to-be office. Vicki Lynn Photography captured all of the details, which I hope will inspire you to host your own Halloween Cupcake Decorating Party!

My sweetie, Kate dressed up in a pettiskirt and custom pumpkin shirt. This theme would be perfect for all of those October birthdays!

A cupcake decorating table was prepared, along with a display of decorated cupcakes and goodies.

The girls wore simple white aprons, dressed up with fabulous black and white bows. Place settings were setup for each child, along with our printable placecards so they could find their seats.

A polka dot gable box decorated with a flattened cupcake liner and party circle sat at each place setting. These could be take home boxes for the treats or perfect to serve lunches in.

Our gorgeous “mommy” helped the kids get ready to decorate. Isn’t her apron and oven mitt adorable? Moms hosting this party, must play the part!

The table was filled with frosting, candy, fondant creations and sprinkles for the kids to decorate with. My favorite? The gummy googly eyes…eek!

The kids loved using the icing bags to add the frosting. Squeeeeze!

A few sprinkles, perhaps?

…or maybe some earthworms? How about all of the above?

The kids had so much fun!

We made a fancy spider cupcake, too using a fondant topper, licorice and red hots!  The kids enjoyed listening to a spooky Halloween story.

More cupcakes….and a not-so-scary spider!

Marian from Sweetopia made matching cookies using our new Printable Party Circles. Individually wrapped cookies are always great for sweet party favors.

A few other favor ideas: pumpkin treat boxes or mini striped boxes filled with candy! These fabulous clear cupcake boxes are perfect for the kids to take home their cupcakes in!

I can’t pick just one thing that I love. Every detail is just gorgeous. A cute idea I did like was the ribbon on the frosting bags. Not only super cute, but nice way to keep it clean for the children (and mom!). I am so glad I found this website from the Simply Caked blog. You are doing an amazing job, and good luck!

pretty neat party. I particularly like the dolka pot boxes by Polka Dot Market. The box is basic and could be used with other party themes too.
