Pottery Barn Kids Young Explorers Birthday Party :: Details

Today I am sharing more details and photos from the Young Explorers Birthday Party I styled for Pottery Barn Kids! After we worked on the Sunshine Baby Shower, it was on to a children’s birthday party theme. This was so amazing to work on and watch it come to life! Everything is cuter with adorable kids involved and lucky for me, my own little Kate and a few of her friends were part of the shoot. The full feature is published here on the Pottery Barn Kids website, but I thought I would share a few highlights! I created a new safari-inspired Little Explorer Printable Collection for the party. All of the designs are available for free download here.

One of the craft ideas we did were making cookie favor bags wrapped with burlap ribbon and the downloadable thank you tags. The brown patterned treat bags are available in our shop here.

For one of the recipes, we made cupcakes in a jar inspired by Glory’s recipe here. We attached mini clothespins and a cute tag to match the party theme. Download tags here.

For a featured video, I showed how to make folded paper medallions out of maps. You can find maps at your local office supply store or online. The medallions are quite easy to make and you can use any type of paper.

There are so many beautiful photos from the shoot that I had to share a few that aren’t on the Pottery Barn Kids website. I am so thrilled with how everything turned out.
