KATE’S COTTON CANDY PARTY!

Share To:

kates_cotton_candy_party_1My sweet, darling daughter, Kate is turning 9 this week! Where did the year go? Time sure flies! I am quickly planning her next big celebration which is this weekend and I realized that I still haven’t shared her Cotton Candy themed party from last year! So here goes! I kept things simple and set up the desserts and treats on the island in our “new” white kitchen! The AMAZING marquee letters by Lollipop Lights were the perfect focal point for the setup! I based the color palette on this gorgeous candy shoppe tassel garland and confetti we carry in our shop. Pinks, blues and aqua…oh my!

kates_cotton_candy_party_2I had my favorite watercolor artist, Kori Clark make the custom cotton candy illustration and I used it on the invitation design and labels! So cute, right?

Let’s talk more about these gorgeous “KATE” marquee letters. I reached out to Lollipop Lights on Instagram and even with late notice she was able to whip them up and get them to me in time for the party! They are made from thick paper and they actually light up! Kate has them in her room now. So darling!

I had my friend, Meredith from Lemon Bliss Bakery make custom cookies to match the cotton candy illustration used throughout the party. The girls loved seeing their names on the cookies!

I baked vanilla cupcakes in my favorite striped baking cups and topped them with white whipped cream frosting.

Inspired by these ice cream cone meringues, I had my mom make these mini ice cream cones! Didn’t they turn out so cute?

Our mini gumball machines were adorable on the dessert table and each girl took one home!

We also filled gable boxes with matching pajamas for the girls and a few other little treats! I dressed up the gable boxes using light pink fringe garland and attached a customized cotton candy label with each girl’s name.

I hope you enjoyed Kate’s party photos! I can’t wait to show you what I have up my sleeve for this year’s celebration!
