How To Make Creative Halloween Treats!

Share To:

The lovely ladies over at How Does She recently featured several fun & spooky Halloween food ideas, and we’re excited to share the great ideas with you! We loved how they used our Printable Halloween Glam Collection to accent all of these wonderful goodies! First up is a BOOtiful Ghost Cake!

This not-so-spooky cake was first inspired by Martha Stewart, and this is Alysha’s version. Adorable! She said it is so simple to put together. You’ll need both large and small marshmallows for the ghosts, and black decorating paste (she used Wilton’s Sparkle Gel) for the eyes. She also said the KEY to keeping the ghosts on the cake is toothpicks.

Dab a little bit of cool whip on top and add one of our fancy labels and you’re finished. What a fun cake to have at your Halloween party!

Sparkling Cider is typically reserved for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but why not for Halloween as well? Drink labels are a must, and burn the edges to give it a little more “creepy” look. How much do you love the edible black sugar on the rim? Go ahead and drop a grape in the glass for a “spooky” touch.

Who loves Caramel Apples? We do! Caramel apples just scream “Halloween” and the holiday is not complete without them.

No party is complete without cupcakes! Alysha said that the spider webs are really easy to create. She used the Wilton Sparkle Gel again and you can find a tutorial on how to make the webs using circles and a toothpick here.

Another idea? Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups for “Dracula Droppings”. Eek!

Mumified Oreos anyone? These are simply adorable and Shelley of HDS provided a great tutorial! Give them a shot!

They also make great party favors!

Thank you ladies of How Does She for the wonderful inspiration!

Do you have any spooky Halloween food ideas that you want to share? We would love to hear them!

      — where’s the part in the recipe where you warn all your party goers that there’s toothpicks in the marshmallows? Though the bloodshed would add a grim but whimsical touch to your cheesy party.

  4. I absolutely LOVE the mumified oreos. It’s a great idea!
