Hey guys! I am so excited to share the details of the cocktail bar in our last home that we renovated! If you missed our previous remodel reveals, be sure to find them here in our home tour posts! This cocktail bar remodel was quite a challenge. There was already a wet bar in this area, which is between the family room and kitchen. The bar resides under the spiral staircase, so the angles and curves are very weird. As you can see from the “before” photo below, the previous owner went with flow and created a rounded glass block bar, rounded countertop and rounded soffit.
With the help of our cabinet designer at Diamond Cabinets by MasterBrand, we were able to update this awkward space to a modern, functional cocktail bar! I went with white cabinetry since the bar is so close to the kitchen, to be sure it all flowed nicely! To keep this space open and airy, I decided on floating shelves. I knew they would be so much fun to style too!
Here are a few progress photos…
Quite a change, right? The addition of the beverage fridge made the bar area really functional. We hosted a few parties in the 5 months that we lived in this home and the bar was such a great feature. I added a simple black bottle opener to the left panel and thought it was a fun touch
For styling, I started by designing a graphic print for this rustic wood frame. Download this free adorable “time for a cocktail” print to decorate your own cocktail bar area or bar cart!
This tray is a treasure we brought back from our trip to Cuba earlier this year to celebrate my 40th birthday!
It was a pleasure to partner with Blanco to furnish our sink and faucet for our cocktail bar. I chose the modern chrome Meridian faucet! It is gorgeous and the perfect size for the cocktail bar area.
I added a few additional fun accessories like this retro clock, hammered cocktail shaker, small plants and glassware.
I hope you love how the bar remodel turned out as much as I do! Let me know in the comments what you think!
